In value terms, copper chain exports dropped notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 8,811%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Slovenia (X kg) was the main destination for copper chain exports from Croatia, with a 70% share of total exports. Moreover, copper chain exports to Slovenia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bosnia and Herzegovina (X kg), twofold.
From 2013 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Slovenia totaled +34.1%.
In value terms, Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X) remains the key foreign market for chain and parts thereof of copper exports from Croatia, comprising 72% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovenia ($X), with a 28% share of total exports.
From 2013 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Bosnia and Herzegovina stood at -23.8%.

The average copper chain export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, declining by -27.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 412%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia stood at $X per ton.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+18.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Croatia
In 2022, supplies from abroad of chain and parts thereof of copper decreased by -16.6% to X kg for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports, however, posted a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 4,997% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, copper chain imports declined sharply to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 1,910% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Slovenia (X kg) and Germany (X kg) were the main suppliers of copper chain imports to Croatia.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +53.5%).
In value terms, Slovenia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of chain and parts thereof of copper to Croatia, comprising 90% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 10% share of total imports.
