In 2022, overseas shipments of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters decreased by -26.1% to X units for the first time since 2014, thus ending a seven-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 87%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports contracted remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 130%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Exports by Country

Slovenia (X units), Poland (X units) and Serbia (X units) were the main destinations of electric oven and cooker exports from Croatia, with a combined 69% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +248.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Slovenia ($X) remains the key foreign market for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports from Croatia, comprising 42% of total exports. In general, imports, however, recorded a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 18% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
