Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Croatia
In 2021, purchases abroad of ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys increased by 11% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a mild decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 72% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 68%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Serbia (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys imports to Croatia, together comprising 88% of total imports. Slovenia, Austria and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 10%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +82.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Serbia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of ferro-cerium and pyrophoric alloys to Croatia, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 23% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 14% share.
