Imports into Croatia
In 2022, after five years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of homogenised preparations of jams, fruit jellies and marmalades, when their volume increased by 10% to X tons. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -33.8% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. Slovenia (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons) were the main suppliers of homogenised jam and marmalade imports to Croatia, together comprising 52% of total imports. Italy, Hungary, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 45%.
