The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 809%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units) was the main destination for food manufacture machinery exports from Croatia, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. After two years of decline, overseas purchases of machinery for the preparation or manufacture of food or drink increased by 158% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports showed measured growth. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, food manufacture machinery imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a strong expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Italy (X units) constituted the largest food manufacture machinery supplier to Croatia, with a 30% share of total imports. Moreover, food manufacture machinery imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X units), twofold. China (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
