After two years of growth, the Croatian non-household fan market decreased by -40.6% to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Non-household fan exports from Croatia shrank remarkably to X units in 2022, falling by -51.4% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 89% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

In value terms, non-household fan exports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 97%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Italy (X units), Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units) and Serbia (X units) were the main destinations of non-household fan exports from Croatia, with a combined 49% share of total exports. Poland, Slovenia, Germany and Montenegro lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 32%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +68.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Italy ($X), Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X) and Serbia ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for non-household fan exported from Croatia worldwide, together accounting for 35% of total exports. Slovenia, Poland, Germany and Montenegro lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.

Poland, with a CAGR of +64.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average non-household fan export price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 50%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Montenegro ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Croatia

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of non-household ventilation fans, when their volume decreased by -49.8% to X units. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 48% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, non-household fan imports declined significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed modest growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 54%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.

Imports by Country

China (X units), Italy (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of non-household fan imports to Croatia, together comprising 71% of total imports. Austria, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +51.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Austria ($X) and Italy ($X) were the largest non-household fan suppliers to Croatia, together comprising 56% of total imports. Hungary, Slovenia, Poland and China lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

Poland, with a CAGR of +40.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average non-household fan import price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 27% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
