From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-wheat flour imports totaled $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 99% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, Austria (X tons) constituted the largest non-wheat flour supplier to Croatia, with a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, non-wheat flour imports from Austria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), twofold. Based on 2021 figures, non-wheat flour import price increased by +94.7% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the price for Slovenia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
