The exports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, non-cellular polyethylene film exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. Germany (X tons) was the main destination for non-cellular polyethylene film exports from Croatia, with a 30% share of total exports. Moreover, non-cellular polyethylene film exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Hungary (X tons), twofold. Italy (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 11% share.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +28.3% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Serbia (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-cellular polyethylene film to Croatia, accounting for a 29% share of total imports. Moreover, non-cellular polyethylene film imports from Serbia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Slovenia (X tons), with an 11% share.
