In value terms, rapeseed oil imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 187%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Hungary (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of rapeseed oil to Croatia, with a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, rapeseed oil imports from Hungary exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovenia (X tons), twofold. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, rapeseed oil import price increased by +85.7% against 2020 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for Hungary ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
