Rye Market Size in Croatia

The Croatian rye market surged to $X in 2022, jumping by 20% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. Rye consumption peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Rye Production in Croatia

In value terms, rye production dropped to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Overall, production, however, saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the production volume increased by 58%. In value terms, rye exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 17,364%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for Hungary ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
