From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Kosovo (X tons), Bosnia and Herzegovina (X tons) and Serbia (X tons) were the main destinations of soups exports from Croatia, together comprising 53% of total exports. These countries were followed by North Macedonia, Russia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, Germany and Liberia, which together accounted for a further 35%.

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was growth in supplies from abroad of soups and broths, when their volume increased by 3.4% to X tons. Overall, imports posted resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 92%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, soups imports totaled $X in 2021. In general, imports enjoyed moderate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 78% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Serbia (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main suppliers of soups imports to Croatia, with a combined 71% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 24%.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the price for Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
