Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units), Serbia (X units) and Montenegro (X units) were the main destinations of telephone exports from Croatia, together comprising 69% of total exports. North Macedonia, Slovenia, Albania and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 27%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Albania (with a CAGR of +86.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Serbia ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for telephones and videophones exports from Croatia, comprising 46% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Albania, with an 11% share.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Albania (+15.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third year in a row, Croatia recorded decline in supplies from abroad of telephones and videophones, which decreased by -22.3% to X units in 2022. In general, imports recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, telephone imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 29%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Germany (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of telephone imports to Croatia, together accounting for 84% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +76.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of telephones and videophones to Croatia, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a 12% share.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, telephone import price increased by +70.7% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 80%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
