In general, exports posted a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 102% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wooden office furniture exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 57% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Austria (X units), France (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main destinations of wooden office furniture exports from Croatia, with a combined 73% share of total exports. Qatar, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.

In general, export price indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, imports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
