The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, worked flat glass imports totaled $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -7.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 21%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main suppliers of worked flat glass imports to Croatia, together accounting for 63% of total imports. These countries were followed by Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy and Spain, which together accounted for a further 30%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Slovenia (with a CAGR of +32.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
