In value terms, Canada ($X) remains the key foreign market for coffee (decaffeinated or roasted) exports from Cuba, comprising 41% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Saudi Arabia ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 15% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Canada amounted to -7.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Saudi Arabia (+580.3% per year) and Germany (+1.4% per year).

In general, imports continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 1,613%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, decaffeinated or roasted coffee imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 416% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Spain (X tons) was the main supplier of decaffeinated or roasted coffee to Cuba, accounting for a 288% share of total imports. Moreover, decaffeinated or roasted coffee imports from Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United States (X tons), with a 23% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Spain totaled +61.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+115.2% per year) and the United States (+186.9% per year).
In value terms, Spain ($X) constituted the largest supplier of coffee (decaffeinated or roasted) to Cuba, comprising 206% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with an 81% share of total imports. It was followed by Canada, with a 16% share.
