The United States (X tons) and the Dominican Republic (X tons) represented the key exporters of crude maize (corn) oil in 2021, reaching near 30% and 20% of total exports, respectively. Brazil (X tons) took a 13% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Turkey (6.4%), Hungary (6.2%) and Canada (5%). Ukraine (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.

Greece (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Qatar (with a CAGR of +55.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
