Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 125%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

In value terms, non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports dropped sharply to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate measured growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 110%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

Panama (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-combined refrigerator-freezer imports to Cuba, with a combined 93% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Portugal (with a CAGR of +20.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
