From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Panama (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2021, purchases abroad of telephones and videophones was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a dramatic slump. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, telephone imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a significant decline. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Panama (X tons), Spain (X tons) and the UK (X kg) were the main suppliers of telephone imports to Cuba, with a combined 77% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the UK (with a CAGR of +43.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Panama ($X) constituted the largest supplier of telephone to Cuba, comprising 47% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the UK ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Spain, with a 15% share.
