From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Mexico amounted to -9.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ecuador (-12.6% per year) and Spain (+148.0% per year).

The average vegetable oils import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 46% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 53% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per ton), while the price for Spain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
