Acetone Market Size in the Czech Republic

In value terms, acetone exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 276%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Italy (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main destinations of acetone exports from the Czech Republic, together accounting for 64% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Italy (with a CAGR of +139.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Italy ($X), Germany ($X) and Sweden ($X) constituted the largest markets for acetone exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, together accounting for 65% of total exports.

Imports into the Czech Republic

Acetone imports into the Czech Republic rose remarkably to X tons in 2021, growing by 9% against the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 32%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, acetone imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a tangible increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 110%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of acetone imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 82% share of total imports. France, the Netherlands and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from France ($X per ton) and the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Germany ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
