Antimony Market Size in the Czech Republic
The Czech antimony market contracted remarkably to $X in 2022, waning by -63.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then fell remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, antimony exports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 13,729%. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped significantly in the following year.

Germany (X kg), Slovakia (X kg) and Croatia (X kg) were the main destinations of antimony exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 98% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of +63.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the largest markets for antimony exported from the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Croatia ($X), together comprising 96% of total exports.
Germany, with a CAGR of +18.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline.

The average antimony export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, surging by 6.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a tangible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 263%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Antimony Imports
Imports into the Czech Republic
Antimony imports into the Czech Republic fell markedly to X tons in 2022, waning by -73.3% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 152% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, antimony imports declined remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a perceptible shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 144%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, South Korea (X tons) was the main antimony supplier to the Czech Republic, with a 92% share of total imports. Moreover, antimony imports from South Korea exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from South Korea was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-28.2% per year) and the UK (-4.2% per year).
In value terms, South Korea ($X) constituted the largest supplier of antimony to the Czech Republic, comprising 86% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 4.4% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from South Korea was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-28.1% per year) and the UK (-3.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average antimony import price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 86% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the price for South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
