Overall, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, articles of fiber cement exports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 21% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

Denmark (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Ireland (X tons) were the main destinations of articles of fiber cement exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 82% share of total exports. Poland, Belgium, France, Slovakia and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 17%.

In 2022, the amount of articles of asbestos-cement, cellulose fiber-cement or the like imported into the Czech Republic fell modestly to X tons, with a decrease of -4.2% on the previous year.
