Overall, imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, bacon and ham imports declined modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion.
