Slovakia (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Romania (X kg) were the main destinations of caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 99% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Lithuania (with a CAGR of +79.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes imported into the Czech Republic skyrocketed to X tons, rising by 75% against the year before. In general, imports, however, saw a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 99% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.
Imports by Country
Denmark (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 82% share of total imports. Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.
