The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 30%. Germany (X tons) was the main destination for porcelain technical ware exports from the Czech Republic, with a 44% share of total exports. In 2022, the amount of porcelain ceramic wares for laboratory, technical, and chemical use imported into the Czech Republic was estimated at X tons, remaining constant against 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 62% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, porcelain technical ware imports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 76%.
