In value terms, dissolving grade wood pulp exports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +29.2% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 105%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons) was the main destination for dissolving grade wood pulp exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a 55% share of total exports. Moreover, dissolving grade wood pulp exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tons), threefold. Austria (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to China amounted to +19.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+7.4% per year) and Austria (+31.0% per year).

In 2022, imports of dissolving grade wood pulp into the Czech Republic reduced to X tons, dropping by -12.3% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 1,196% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, dissolving grade wood pulp imports contracted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 1,459% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, the United States (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of dissolving grade wood pulp to the Czech Republic, accounting for a 48% share of total imports. Moreover, dissolving grade wood pulp imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Sweden (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by France (X tons), with an 18% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from the United States totaled +23.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Sweden (+865.2% per year) and France (+3.8% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of dissolving grade wood pulp to the Czech Republic, comprising 49% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by France ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Sweden, with a 17% share.
