The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 53%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, sour cherry exports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main destinations of sour cherry exports from the Czech Republic, together accounting for 99% of total exports.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Czech Republic
Sour cherry imports into the Czech Republic soared to X tons in 2022, with an increase of 52% against 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 1,210% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, sour cherry imports plummeted to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 433% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Hungary (X tons) constituted the largest sour cherry supplier to the Czech Republic, with a 66% share of total imports. Moreover, sour cherry imports from Hungary exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X tons), twofold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Hungary amounted to -6.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-10.2% per year) and Poland (-25.7% per year).
In value terms, Hungary ($X) constituted the largest supplier of sour cherries to the Czech Republic, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovakia ($X), with a 26% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Hungary stood at -2.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-15.6% per year) and Poland (-30.9% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average sour cherry import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -52% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 141% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
