Overall, total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +96.4% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by 28% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Germany (X tons), the UK (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the main destinations of coffee extract exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 49% of total exports. These countries were followed by Romania, South Africa, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Croatia, Hungary and Austria, which together accounted for a further 44%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +84.4%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for coffee extract exported from the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Slovakia ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 49% share of total exports. In 2021, the average coffee extract export price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 6.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a mild shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 14%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic
In 2021, imports of coffee extracts, essences and concentrates into the Czech Republic rose notably to X tons, surging by 6.4% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, total imports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +26.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 47%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, coffee extract imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of coffee extract imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 55% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain, the UK, Belgium, Hungary, France, Switzerland and Ecuador, which together accounted for a further 40%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of +80.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest coffee extract suppliers to the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Poland ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 57% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium and Ecuador, which together accounted for a further 37%.

In 2021, the average coffee extract import price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -4.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per ton), while the price for Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
