In 2022, the Czech food mixer market decreased by -27.6% to $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, consumption, however, posted a prominent expansion. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

In value terms, food mixer production expanded modestly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production, however, continues to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the production volume increased by 144%. Food mixer production peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, production failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, shipments abroad of domestic food grinders and mixers and fruit or vegetable juice extractors decreased by -5.2% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 67% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, food mixer exports fell rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 49%. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

Exports by Country

Slovakia (X units) was the main destination for food mixer exports from the Czech Republic, with a 32% share of total exports. Moreover, food mixer exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X units), with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Slovakia totaled +14.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+17.1% per year) and Germany (+3.9% per year).

In value terms, Germany ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Poland ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for food mixer exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, together accounting for 66% of total exports. Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Greece and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 10%.

Italy, with a CAGR of +43.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The average food mixer export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, shrinking by -21.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 15%. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic

After two years of growth, purchases abroad of domestic food grinders and mixers and fruit or vegetable juice extractors decreased by -18.5% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +7.7% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.

In value terms, food mixer imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 50% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest food mixer supplier to the Czech Republic, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, food mixer imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), ninefold. Slovenia (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +10.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-1.5% per year) and Slovenia (+2.6% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of domestic food grinders and mixers and fruit or vegetable juice extractors to the Czech Republic, comprising 70% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 6.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Slovenia, with a 6.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to +13.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+3.7% per year) and Slovenia (+1.3% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The average food mixer import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, dropping by -15.1% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 19%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the price for Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
