Poland (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of ferro-manganese exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 76% share of total exports. Germany, France, Austria, Slovenia and Serbia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for France (with a CAGR of +178.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic
For the third year in a row, the Czech Republic recorded decline in overseas purchases of ferro-manganese, which decreased by -19.7% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports showed a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ferro-manganese imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +117.5% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 50% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

Norway (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main suppliers of ferro-manganese imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 70% share of total imports. Sweden, South Africa, India, Spain and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.

Based on 2022 figures, ferro-manganese import price increased by +78.9% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 51% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per ton), while the price for South Africa ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
