The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 139%. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Italy (X tons) was the main destination for complex fluorine salts exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a 53% share of total exports. Moreover, complex fluorine salts exports to Italy exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Slovakia (X tons), threefold. Switzerland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 19% share.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (-2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into the Czech Republic
After four years of growth, purchases abroad of fluorides, fluorosilicates, fluoroaluminates and other complex fluorine salts decreased by -29.7% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +44.7% against 2014 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 54%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then dropped notably in the following year.
In value terms, complex fluorine salts imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, posted a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 198%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
France (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of complex fluorine salts imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 52% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Spain, South Korea, Poland, Belgium, Italy and China, which together accounted for a further 45%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Spain (with a CAGR of +55.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, South Korea ($X) constituted the largest supplier of fluorides, fluorosilicates, fluoroaluminates and other complex fluorine salts to the Czech Republic, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Hungary ($X), with a 3.9% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 3.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from South Korea amounted to +122.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hungary (+5.9% per year) and Germany (+3.3% per year).

In 2021, the average complex fluorine salts import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 221% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a significant expansion. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($X per ton), while the price for France ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+61.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
