Slovakia (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main destinations of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 94% share of total exports.

Imports into the Czech Republic
After four years of decline, supplies from abroad of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines increased by 8.6% to X tons in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 185%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 77% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Poland (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine to the Czech Republic, with a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Slovakia (X tons), with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Poland was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+3.3% per year) and Slovakia (-19.9% per year).
In value terms, Poland ($X) constituted the largest supplier of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines to the Czech Republic, comprising 60% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 19% share of total imports. It was followed by Slovakia, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Poland stood at +2.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+6.2% per year) and Slovakia (-17.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average import price for fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodines amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 33% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a mild increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 64%. The import price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
