In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced downturn. The exports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 693%. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Slovakia (X tons) was the main destination for aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a 82% share of total exports. Moreover, aromatic hydrocarbons derivatives exports to Slovakia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, China (X kg), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Belgium (X kg), with a 5.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Slovakia amounted to +87.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: China (+374.3% per year) and Belgium (+2.9% per year).
