Germany (X tons), Austria (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) were the main destinations of lead exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 88% share of total exports. Poland and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 10%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lead Imports
Imports into the Czech Republic
After six years of growth, supplies from abroad of lead decreased by -10% to X tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +164.0% against 2012 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, lead imports dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 78%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Sweden (X tons) were the main suppliers of lead imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 79% of total imports. Belgium, Estonia, Italy, the Netherlands and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Estonia (with a CAGR of +298.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Poland ($X) and Sweden ($X) were the largest lead suppliers to the Czech Republic, with a combined 79% share of total imports. Belgium, Estonia, Italy, the Netherlands and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Russia ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($X per ton) and Sweden ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
