Italy (X units), France (X units) and Canada (X units) were the main destinations of lifting equipment exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 46% of total exports. These countries were followed by Germany, the United States, Portugal, the UK, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, New Zealand, Romania and Australia, which together accounted for a further 46%.

In 2021, purchases abroad of lifting equipment decreased by -64% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. In general, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 910% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, lifting equipment imports shrank significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed temperate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 197% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Sweden (X units), Japan (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of lifting equipment imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 43% of total imports.
