From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports rose significantly to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 75%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Poland (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) were the main destinations of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports from the Czech Republic, together accounting for 65% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Ukraine (with a CAGR of +200.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X), Poland ($X) and Ukraine ($X) constituted the largest markets for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, together comprising 67% of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Ukraine, with a CAGR of +194.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, growing by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 66%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2022, overseas purchases of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 7% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 44%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 53%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

The Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 69% share of total imports. Belgium, Slovakia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 21%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belgium (with a CAGR of +88.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) suppliers to the Czech Republic were the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and Poland ($X), with a combined 68% share of total imports. Belgium, Slovakia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

Belgium, with a CAGR of +82.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 43% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Poland ($X per ton) and the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) and Germany ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
