Loudspeaker Market Size in the Czech Republic

In 2022, the Czech loudspeaker market decreased by -22.4% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. In general, the total consumption indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, consumption increased by +27.5% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 96% against the previous year. Exports from the Czech Republic

Loudspeaker exports from the Czech Republic shrank to X units in 2022, which is down by -3.8% against 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 57%. The exports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, loudspeaker exports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 41% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X units), Spain (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of loudspeaker exports from the Czech Republic, together accounting for 59% of total exports. Slovakia, Turkey, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Egypt, China and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 23%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Egypt (with a CAGR of +65.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and Slovakia ($X) constituted the largest markets for loudspeaker exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, with a combined 50% share of total exports. China, Austria, Poland, Spain, the UK, Turkey, Egypt and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.

China, with a CAGR of +61.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average loudspeaker export price amounted to $X per unit, jumping by 18% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, loudspeaker export price increased by +113.3% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 41%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2022, the amount of loudspeakers imported into the Czech Republic contracted to X units, shrinking by -11.2% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, loudspeaker imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 18%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of loudspeaker to the Czech Republic, with a 54% share of total imports. Moreover, loudspeaker imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Vietnam (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Belgium (X units), with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +4.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Vietnam (-4.3% per year) and Belgium (+17.4% per year).
