Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X cubic meters in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, nitrogen imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 51% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Poland (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of nitrogen to the Czech Republic, with a 87% share of total imports. Moreover, nitrogen imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Austria (X cubic meters), more than tenfold.
