The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-cellular polypropylene film exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +50.2% against 2014 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 44%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of non-cellular polypropylene film exports from the Czech Republic, together comprising 54% of total exports. These countries were followed by Slovakia, the UK, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, Ukraine, Belgium, the Netherlands and Romania, which together accounted for a further 36%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the UK (with a CAGR of +57.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for non-cellular polypropylene film exported from the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Poland ($X) and France ($X), with a combined 49% share of total exports. The UK, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, Hungary and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 40%.

Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.9%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic
Non-cellular polypropylene film imports into the Czech Republic stood at X tons in 2021, growing by 4.6% on 2020 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a mild setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-cellular polypropylene film imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-cellular polypropylene film imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 54% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Turkey (with a CAGR of +43.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-cellular polypropylene films, sheets, foil and strip to the Czech Republic, comprising 30% of total imports.
