Moreover, non-medical x-ray imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Hong Kong SAR (X tons), twofold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany stood at -4.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Hong Kong SAR (0.0% per year) and the United States (+9.4% per year).

In value terms, the largest non-medical x-ray suppliers to the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), the United States ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 77% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Hong Kong SAR, China, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 16%.

In terms of the main suppliers, China, with a CAGR of +195.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average non-medical x-ray import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 6.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
