In value terms, Slovakia ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for saturated acyclic hydrocarbons exports from the Czech Republic, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Slovakia totaled -12.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+35.8% per year) and Hungary (+32.9% per year).

In 2022, the average saturated acyclic hydrocarbons export price amounted to $X per ton, falling by -68.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 232% against the previous year. Imports into the Czech Republic

In 2022, the amount of saturated acyclic hydrocarbons imported into the Czech Republic was estimated at X tons, increasing by 4.5% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports showed a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 44%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, saturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed resilient growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Belgium (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of saturated acyclic hydrocarbons imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined 87% share of total imports. Russia, the Netherlands and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 12%.
