The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 32% against the previous year. Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+15.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, purchases abroad of sleeping bags was finally on the rise to reach X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, total imports indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -10.8% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, sleeping bag imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports saw a buoyant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of sleeping bag to the Czech Republic, with a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, sleeping bag imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), threefold. Poland (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at -2.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+34.9% per year) and Poland (+21.5% per year).
