From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Chile (with a CAGR of +239.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for sweet biscuit exported from the Czech Republic were the UK ($X), Belgium ($X) and Slovakia ($X), with a combined 37% share of total exports. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into the Czech Republic
In 2021, supplies from abroad of sweet biscuits decreased by -3.3% to X tons, falling for the fourth consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports saw a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 57% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, sweet biscuit imports expanded to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 7.9% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main suppliers of sweet biscuit imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 68% of total imports. Spain, Slovakia, Italy, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +7.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 48% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
