Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Slovakia (X tons) was the main destination for walnut exports from the Czech Republic, accounting for a 96% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany (X kg), with a 2.4% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Slovakia stood at +115.7%.
In value terms, Slovakia ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for walnut exports from the Czech Republic, comprising 93% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 3.8% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Slovakia amounted to +105.7%.

Imports into the Czech Republic
In 2021, imports of walnuts into the Czech Republic skyrocketed to X tons, picking up by 57% compared with 2020 figures. Overall, imports showed a tangible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 147%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, walnut imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 67%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), Chile (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of walnut imports to the Czech Republic, together comprising 89% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Germany (with a CAGR of +104.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest walnut suppliers to the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Chile ($X) and Slovakia ($X), together accounting for 82% of total imports.
