The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -34.1% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 47%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, woven carpet imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 22% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Germany (X square meters), Austria (X square meters) and Turkey (X square meters) were the main suppliers of woven carpet imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 45% of total imports.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per square meter), while the price for Austria ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
