As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main destinations of wrapping papers exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 47% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria, France, Serbia, Turkey and Slovenia, which together accounted for a further 39%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Serbia (with a CAGR of +33.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of wrapping papers imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 68% of total imports. These countries were followed by Austria, Slovakia, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland and Italy, which together accounted for a further 28%.
