The Netherlands, Ghana, Singapore, Malaysia, Georgia, France, Vietnam, Romania, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 39%.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chicken meat imports reduced to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

Sweden (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of chicken meat imports to Denmark, together accounting for 67% of total imports. These countries were followed by Poland, Hungary, France and Lithuania, which together accounted for a further 29%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +26.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
