Germany (X tons), France (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres from Denmark, with a combined 48% share of total exports. The Netherlands, the UK, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 47%.

Over the period under review, imports posted a strong expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, imports of coconut, abaca, ramie and other vegetable textile fibres skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports posted resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 87%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
