In 2022, shipments abroad of headgear of rubber or plastic decreased by -23.2% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a temperate increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 623%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, plastic headgear exports dropped rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 657%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Haiti (X units), Rwanda (X units) and Sweden (X units) were the main destinations of plastic headgear exports from Denmark, together comprising 51% of total exports. These countries were followed by Germany, the UK, Norway, Poland, Spain and France, which together accounted for a further 33%.

Plastic headgear imports into Denmark declined rapidly to X units in 2022, shrinking by -64.5% on the year before. Overall, imports recorded a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 208% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, plastic headgear imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 152% against the previous year.
