Greenland (X tons) was the main destination for hop exports from Denmark, accounting for a 47% share of total exports. For the fourth year in a row, Denmark recorded growth in purchases abroad of hops, which increased by 37% to X tons in 2022. Overall, imports showed buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 52% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, hop imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports posted buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 72%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Germany (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Sweden (X tons) were the main suppliers of hop imports to Denmark, with a combined 91% share of total imports.
